The Greene county VA farmer's market will soon be open for business. Mark your calendars for the 3rd Saturday in June from 8 AM to 11 AM. Come out to the Greene county Technical Education Center and support 
the local Greene county community farmers and the small local business owners. The farmer's market runs from June 21st through the 3rd Saturday in September. The Greene county VA farmer's market is hosted by the Greene County Ruritans, a local organization dedicated to providing services to their community. You will have the opportunity to purchase fresh locally grown produce untouched and unprocessed at it's most nutritious stage. Also offered for purchase will be baked goods, farm fresh eggs and craft items. The Greene county VA farmer's market as well as many others around central VA have become quite popular. As area residents see the benefit to themselves and their families they also recognize the benefit of keeping their money within their local community. A win/win for everyone!
